Lumi’s glowing light cut through the deep, dark ocean like a tiny, flickering star. Rexie and Marlo followed closely, their hearts pounding. Then, just as the darkness seemed endless, a soft, magical glow appeared ahead.

Atlantis.

It wasn’t just a city, it was a dream brought to life beneath the waves. Towering marble buildings stretched toward the ocean’s surface, their tops lost in the shimmering blue. Glowing coral wrapped around giant stone pillars, and swirling carvings covered every wall, telling stories in a language no one had spoken for centuries.

They swam down a long, grand street lined with statues, each one carved from smooth, pale stone. Unlike the sea creatures they had seen before, these statues were of people. Some wore flowing robes, others held strange tools or scrolls, and a few had crowns upon their heads. “They must have been great leaders or inventors,” Marlo murmured, tracing his fingers over an inscription. The letters were ancient, but the pride in the faces of the statues was clear.

At the end of the street, they stopped in awe. Before them stood a mighty statue of Poseidon, god of the sea. His stone form towered over them, his powerful trident gripped in one hand, his other outstretched as if controlling the ocean itself. Waves were carved at his feet, and dolphins leapt in graceful arcs around him.

“Poseidon was the ruler of the seas,” Marlo whispered. “Some say he created Atlantis.”

Rexie’s tail flicked. “Then maybe he’s still watching over it.”

Beyond the statue, the city stretched on, waiting for them to uncover its secrets.

They swam deeper into the city, finding an underwater garden where glowing jellyfish drifted lazily, their tentacles trailing light. Strange six-legged creatures scuttled across the seabed, and fish with rainbow-coloured scales flashed past like tiny shooting stars.

Then, in the centre of Atlantis, they found the most mysterious place yet: a massive circular chamber. In the middle sat a huge crystal sphere, resting on a stone pedestal. Lumi floated closer, his light reflecting off its smooth surface.

Suddenly, the crystal came to life.

Bright images burst onto the walls: Atlanteans swimming with dolphins, building their grand city, studying the stars. It was like a living memory of the past, playing out right before their eyes.

Rexie, Marlo, and Lumi watched in silence, completely mesmerised.

But somewhere, deep in the shadows of Atlantis, something else was watching too.
