The sky was dark and the waves crashed angrily. Poseidon, the mighty sea god, was furious. His face looked like a storm, and he led an army of sea creatures toward a giant ship.
Suddenly, SPLASH! A huge kraken burst out of the water! The kraken looked like a giant octopus with thick, strong arms. It wrapped its long, squishy tentacles around the ship and SQUEEEEEZED!
The ship creaked and groaned. The engines went CLUNK! and stopped.
Then came the marlins: sharp, fast fish with pointy noses like swords. WHOOSH! They jumped out of the sea and landed on the ship, poking holes and zooming past the frightened crew. “Ahhh!” the sailors screamed as they ran for cover.
Next, the biggest creatures of all arrived: blue whales! They were enormous, like underwater mountains. With a loud BOOM!, they slammed into the ship. The whole ship shook and started tipping sideways. Water rushed in. The ship was about to sink!
Just then, a small voice shouted, “Please! Stop!”
An old man stepped out from the bridge of the ship. He was the captain, and he looked very tired and sad. “Please,” he begged, “we give up. We didn’t know we were hurting your ocean.”

Poseidon rose from the sea. Water poured off him like a waterfall. He stepped onto the ship with a mighty THUD! and looked straight at the captain.
“You humans are destroying my ocean!” Poseidon roared. “The sharks are starving. The penguins are losing their homes. Fish are trapped in your plastic rubbish. The sea is suffering!”
The captain looked around at the mess: the broken ship, the scared crew, the angry sea. He finally understood.
“I’m so sorry,” he said, his voice shaking. “We didn’t realise what we were doing. I promise to tell everyone. We will stop hurting the ocean.”
Poseidon stared into the captain’s eyes. After a long moment, he slowly lowered his trident.
“Very well,” he said. “But if you break your promise, I’ll be back. And next time, I won’t be so kind.”
The captain nodded quickly. He was full of respect, and a little fear. He swore he would protect the ocean from now on.
Poseidon dove back into the sea. The kraken let go of the ship. The marlins and whales returned to the deep. The sea grew quiet again.
The ship was damaged but still floating. And the people on board would never forget the day the ocean fought back, and gave them a second chance.
The End.
